Mission Statement: To redefine women’s health, one conversation, one resource, and one empowered woman at a time.
Meet Dr. Aprille McQueen, DNP, MS, RN, CSMC | Founder & CEO, Advocacy For H.E.R.
Dr. Aprille McQueen is a doctoral-prepared nurse executive, patient safety leader, and women’s health advocate committed to helping women navigate perimenopause and menopause with clarity, confidence, and intention.
She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Baylor University and also holds a certification in Women’s Health and Wellness from Harvard Medical School. In addition, she received her Menopause Coaching certification from Girls Gone Strong, further strengthening her expertise in evidence-informed midlife women’s health education and coaching.
With more than two decades of healthcare leadership experience, Dr. McQueen serves in executive-level quality and patient safety roles within a major Texas health system. Her background spans clinical nursing, hospital operations, infection prevention, performance improvement, and strategic systems leadership. She holds advanced credentials in quality and patient safety, and her doctoral work centers on transformational leadership, operational excellence, and sustainable health outcomes.
But Advocacy For H.E.R. was not created from her professional credentials alone.
It was born from personal experience.
After years of navigating infertility, IVF, autoimmune disease, and perimenopause, Dr. McQueen recognized a critical gap between medical appointments and real-life implementation. Women were receiving treatment options, but often without structured support to clarify goals, optimize lifestyle strategies, or sustain long-term quality of life.
Advocacy For H.E.R. was built to bridge that gap.
Through structured education, strategic coaching, and her signature I.S.M.A.R.T. Longevity Model™ framework, Dr. McQueen helps women move beyond symptom confusion toward intentional, sustainable quality-of-life optimization.
Her approach is:
• Evidence-informed
• Structured and measurable
• Clinically grounded
• Operationally strategic
• Focused on longevity and vitality
She believes menopause is not an ending, it is a leadership transition in a woman’s life that deserves clarity, respect, and intentional planning.
When she is not leading system-level healthcare initiatives or coaching women through midlife transitions, Dr. McQueen speaks, teaches, and develops educational resources that elevate menopause literacy across healthcare and community settings.
Advocacy For H.E.R. reflects her core belief:
Women deserve informed care.
Women deserve structured support.
Women deserve to optimize, not just survive, midlife.
Advocacy For H.E.R. provides education, coaching, and wellness resources and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or establish a provider-patient relationship.
